justjared.comA Saw movie is an almost yearly tradition at this point. The long-running horror franchise first kicked off in 2004, and has spawned ten films thus far, with the newest installment, Saw X, hitting theaters this weekend.
The first films center around the fictional serial killer John “Jigsaw” Kramer, and the storyline has evolved ever since, with different characters coming back into play as apprentices and copycats.
The premise is that the killer “tests” people with horrific physical challenges to determine whether they deserve to live. The films are known for their intense goriness, as well as its expanded lore over the years.
