Erin and Jarret have been undergoing IVF and trying to conceive on their own for almost 10 years.
In 2021, Erin opened up in an essay about the process and how it weighs on the couple. “I’ve been going through these treatments since I was 35 years old,” she revealed, adding that her body “is kind of stacked against me.
I have been trying to do IVF treatment for a while now, but sometimes it doesn’t go the way you want it. Your body just doesn’t allow it.” Erin added at the time that many have been made to feel ashamed of going the route of IVF, and she wanted to turn that narrative around. “Instead of feeling ashamed, we need to give ourselves more love.
It freaking sucks, because it can seem like it’s such a lonely thing. There are so many of us going through this though, and it’s just not talked about.” Congrats to Erin and Jarret on their new baby!
