In an unusual stunt that may never be repeated, Cantona joined host Julia Stuart and fellow ex-Reds midfielder Owen Hargreaves in the studio for analysis of the opening game of the season.
All seemed normal until Stuart asked the Frenchman: "What can you and the millions of Manchester United fans around the world expect; what will be unfolding as the season progresses on their television sets?" This question appeared to spark something in Cantona as he sarcastically chuckled: "Television," before taking off his microphone, jacket and tie and performing a passionate rant directly into the camera.
