Emmerdale's Kevin Mathurin left Lorraine viewers stunned as he revealed a secret connection to legendary singer Diana Ross while appearing on Wednesday morning's episode.
The actor, who plays vicar Charles Anderson on the long-running ITV soap, revealed the surprising connection as he discussed his dancing career with host Lorraine Kelly.
Kevin, 63, revealed that before he was a soapstar he had a career as a dancer, and even performed with Diana Ross. "When I left college in 1991, my journey started more on the dance career, so I kept going down that route,” he explained.
Lorraine replied: "And what an amazing time you had, Madison Square Garden with Diana Ross I believe." Kevin swiftly responded to confirm the story, before continuing: "We had a moment where, she likes to swap the running order of the show, so we would come on thinking we were doing a dance routine, and one time she decided ‘OK, I got a friend here in the audience." "And this friend starts walking up on stage and all of a sudden it’s Luther Vandross." Lorraine exclaimed "wow" as Kevin recalled: "And they sing a duet of Endless Love and I’m sitting there like, 'I can’t believe this is happening'."
