On the ITV soap, farmer Nate was last seen over a week ago, following his announcement to move to Shetland after patching things up with his estranged wife Tracy (Amy Walsh) for a fresh start together on the Scottish island.
Yet Nate faced a brutal attack from his father Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) who mistakenly believed Nate was having an affair with Cain's wife Moira (Natalie Robb).
Following the assault, an injured Nate planned to confront Moira at the farm but was intercepted by fresh face John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) who persuaded him to reconsider.
