Ryan Shepard, who served as rapper Eminem's stunt double for many performances, has died after being struck by a truck in Washington on 31 January.The fatal incident occurred near a T-shaped intersection, where Ryan, 40, stepped onto the road and was struck by a vehicle heading southbound, per a police news bulletin shared on Facebook.
They wrote: "Officers located a 40-year-old male, identified as Ryan Shepard, suffering from injuries sustained after being struck by a truck.
Shepard was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. "Preliminary investigation indicated that Shepard stepped into the roadway and was struck by the truck, which was traveling southbound on Olympia St." Police continued to say that the driver of the truck remained at the scene and was not impaired at the time of the collision.
An investigation is ongoing. Ryan worked with Eminem as he rose to fame following the release of his 1999 album The Slim Shady LP.
