Emily Blunt Reveals The Scariest Stunt Of Her Career
deadline.comEmily Blunt was in 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow, a Tom Cruise sci-fi thriller that required some wire stunts that ended in spills.
But that wasn’t the scariest thing she’s ever done. Speaking to People, Blunt cites2018’s Mary Poppins Returns as her biggest stunt challenge. “That entrance was very stressful for me,” she recalled.
The Poppins character’s entrance “had to start in the clouds and come all the way down” toward the ground while holding an umbrella aloft,” she recalls. “And I’m supposed to walk effortlessly into my close-up as if it’s nothing.
I did three takes — and then I felt my tolerance go, ‘Pfft!’ And that was it. I was done.” Director Rob Marshall requested a fourth take. “I did three takes and I could see Rob gearing up to do another one.
