A Scots pensioner is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow. Officers from Police Scotland scrambled to the rush-hour crash a Clarkston Toll at around 5:20pm on Friday 17 May.
Emergency services attended and the 86-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Medical staff describe his condition as critical.The 54-year-old male driver of the Mercedes GLE was uninjured.The road was locked down with several roads closures in place for hours as cops investigated.
Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact us.
If anyone has a dash cam, please pass on any relevant footage to us as it could assist us in establishing the full circumstances of this incident.”Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3034 of 17 May, 2024.
