Police have slammed some 'incredibly disappointing comments' in the wake of the conviction of a sexual predator teacher. Rebecca Joynes was yesterday (Friday, May 17) convicted of engaging in sexual activity with two boys, who she met while working at a Greater Manchester school.

Manchester Crown Court heard how the 30-year-old groomed one boy with a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre before taking him back to her apartment and having sex with him when he was 15.

She then fell pregnant with another teenage pupil, who she also began a sexual relationship with when he was 15. In the wake of the teacher's conviction, Greater Manchester Police shared her mugshot on X, formerly known as Twitter, as well as details of her 'predatory' crimes. A spokesperson for GMP said replies would today (May 18) be removed 'out of respect for the victims'. Underneath the previous post about Joynes, a GMP spokesperson wrote this morning: "Some of the comments on this post have been incredibly disappointing.
