Popular airline easyJet are warning passengers to read up on the rules before flying with them wanting their customers to "be able to pack in confidence".
Issuing a guide on what you can and cannot do as well as a list of dangerous goods you should leave at home, the airline has listed specific rules for those flying with smart luggage.
In their ' Restricted and unusual items ', it states that smart luggage is a bag which contains a lithium battery or power bank which is used to power itself or to recharge other devices.
easyJet state: "If the smart luggage is to be checked in and put in the hold, you need to disconnect and remove the lithium battery/power bank from the smart luggage at Bag Drop and take it into the cabin with you.
