East Kilbride Village deli destroyed after car smashes into shopfront

The owners of a local deli have been left counting the cost after a car ploughed through the shopfront on Friday night leaving a trail of destruction.Police and fire crews raced to the scene of the crash at Deli EK on Kirkton Park in East Kilbride Village at around 7.45pm on Friday.Dramatic images sent to Lanarkshire Live showed police officers on the scene inspecting the vehicle which had smashed through brick and a glass window before coming to a stop on the shop floor.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
