Dynamo Kyiv have denied they are set to sell star man Mykola Shaparenko in the midst of a Champions League tussle with Rangers.Reports in Turkey and Ukraine claimed that Trabzonspor had submitted a bid for the midfielder and that Dynamo were considering cashing in on the 25-year-old Ukrainian international ahead of their third round qualifier second leg against Philippe Clement's team next week.

Shaparenko was subbed during the 1-1 draw in Poland on Tuesday night, with Cyriel Dessers levelling for Rangers deep into stoppage time. But Dynamo have strongly denied any offer from Trabzonspor and have assured fans that they will ONLY sell Shaparenko to a club from a top league who make serious offer, and that apparently doesn't include Turkish Super Lig sides.

That means he's almost certain to line up against the Light Blues at Hampden next Tuesday night to decide who progresses to the play-off round.A club statement read: "The media are actively spreading the information that Trabzonspor allegedly made an offer to FC Dynamo Kyiv regarding the transfer of Mykola Shaparenko."To put an end to these rumors, I would like to inform you that this information is in no way true.

The management of the club highly values Shaparenko’s talent and skills. Dynamo will not sell players for the sake of selling."It is important that our players move forward, develop and glorify our country on the international stage.
