It’s a land of make-believe, but police weren’t enchanted with a recent call to Disneyland about an active shooter that turned out to be a hoax.
Dozens of Anaheim Police officers with guns drawn responded to the Disneyland Hotel upon reports of an active shooter. The Anaheim Police Department responded with what was called a “significant police response” at 6:10 p.m.
on Thursday, according to Anaheim Police spokesperson Sgt. Jon McClintock. There was no evidence of a shooting or anyone armed at the Disneyland Hotel, according to police.
The Fantasy Tower of the Disneyland Hotel was evacuated, according to Disneyland officials. “There is currently no threat to the Disneyland resort or the surrounding area,” according to the Anaheim Police Instagram account. “There will be an increased police presence at the Disneyland resort and surrounding area throughout the evening.” By providing your information, you agree to our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
