Danny Dyer has opened up about the tough times he faced when yobs forced him out of his home, simply because of his role in EastEnders. The actor, who played the beloved former Queen Vic landlord, is now starring in the Disney+ series Rivals as an entrepreneur scorned by the posh locals of a fictional Cotswolds town, which mirrors the hostility he encountered in real life.
Recalling the unsettling experience after moving into a new Essex home with his wife Jo and their family, Danny shared: "When I moved in people were milling around saying, 'What are you doing moving around here?' questioning me, thinking I was a multi-millionaire, (but) I wasn't." He continued, "It was a big step up for us, a four-bedroom house.
