BBC Breakfast anchors Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt briefly halted Saturday morning's news programming for an update on Keir Starmer.
The Prime Minister is visiting Samoa to engage in discussions with Commonwealth nations and has been fielding questions from the press.
The programme had previously been discussing the "breaking news" in Israel and Iran with Lyse Doucet, the BBC's Chief International Correspondent.
However, Charlie interrupted the news report: "We're going to pause with you just a moment, as we're hearing from Keir Starmer, who is in Samoa.
