Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A couple's holiday in Thailand quickly took a turn for the worse when one woman's boyfriend became involved in a serious accident.

Shauna Ellis and her boyfriend Kieran, 23, were 10 days into their three-week trip in the country when disaster struck. Kieran, a personal trainer from Castleford, Yorkshire, fell three floors from a hotel balcony which resulted in severe injuries that require life-saving surgery.

Kieran suffered from a fractured pelvis which caused internal bleeding. However, Shauna said they have run out of money and their insurance company is yet to give them any cash so she has now resorted to a JustGivingPage in the hopes of raising £100,000 for Kieran to be flown home, Yorkshire Live reports. "Without the work of the hospital in Thailand, the situation could have been much more grave.

He currently has external pelvic fixations and cannot move from a laying down position. He needs a second operation to insert internal fixations before he can start the long recovery process ahead before he will be able to sit on a flight to get home. "The doctors advised that we fly home in an air ambulance for his second operation, however, we have been given quotes from £170,000-£250,000 without any help from the insurance.
