A pair of newlyweds fell in love with a stray dog while on honeymoon in Mauritius - and now they want to to fundraise £2,000 to bring it back.

Raechel Eastwood, 30, and husband Adam, 33, were smitten with the pooch when she approached them on beach. The couple, from Golborne in Wigan, decided that they should bring the dog home.

But after researching the process online, they discovered that it would cost around £2,000. Launching a fundraiser to cover the expenses, Raechel and Adam are hoping they can raise the money and re-home the dog, which they’ve named Sandy.

The dog-lovers already have a German Shepherd named Suki.
