Coronation Street fans were left shocked after tuning in to the British Soap Awards, as they heard actress Charlotte Jordan's off-screen voice for the first time.The actress, who portrays Daisy Midgeley in the ITV soap, went home victorious after bagging numerous gongs for her character's harrowing acid attack storyline during the Awards screened on 6 June.
Despite boasting a thick Manchester accent on the show, like the rest of the Weatherfield residents, Charlotte actually hails from Surrey - and has the accent to go with her home county.
She was among the first up on stage as she and co-stars Ryan Prescott (Ryan Connor) and Andrew Still (Justin Rutherford) were awarded the Scene of The Year gong for their acid attack storyline.
While Charlotte then returned to the stage twice more, first joining her co-stars as they collected the Best Single Episode award for the same storyline, before she won the Best Dramatic Performance award solo.
