Coronation Street fans do ‘double take’ as actor’s doppelganger appears on The Chase

As Bradley Walsh introduced Stuart to kick off his cash builder round, viewers couldn't help but flood Twitter with observations that the 43 year old was a lookalike for Sean Wilson, known for playing Martin Platt on the much-loved soap.Twitter lit up with comments such as: "Wasn't he married to Gail in Corrie?," and another chimed in with: "Martin Platt in seat 1 #TheChase".
One fan didn't hold back, tweeting: "Martin Platt from Corrie [sic]". And the doppelganger talk didn't end there; some thought Stuart also resembled actor Martin Freeman.
However, Stuart's moment in the spotlight was brief as he was swiftly caught by the Chaser, with his fellow contestants Lottie and Steve also making an early exit, according to the Mirror, reports the Express.
