Thrill-seekers can now catch a direct coach from Manchester, Stockport and more straight to Alton Towers. Travel firm TheCoachCompany.co.uk has launched a direct route to the theme park from 14 major cities and towns across the UK.

The service will run every Saturday, so rollercoaster fans don’t have to worry about making their own way there - ideal if your legs are feeling wobbly after too many rides.

The news comes ahead of the Easter holidays, when many families will be heading to Alton Towers for a fun day out. A spokesperson from Alton Towers Resort said: "We are delighted to collaborate with The Coach Company, offering an affordable and convenient shuttle service from several surrounding cities and towns.

We look forward to welcoming thrillseekers and families to Alton Towers Resort this season."
