Clydesdale bridge damaged due to heavy rainfall

Heavy rainfall has caused damage to a Clydesdale bridge, leading to road closures.An emergency road closure at the A70 from the bridge over the Ponfeigh Burn to the east of Rigside Junction with Ponfeigh Road is in place due to severe damage to the bridge.A diversion via the B7078, A702, A73 and A70 will be in place while repair work takes place.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
