Christian Sarabia, President Of ‘Below Deck’ Producer 51 Minds, To Exit; Julie Pizzi To Oversee Banijay Company
deadline.comThere’s change on the high seas of Banijay. Christian Sarabia, President of 51 Minds Entertainment, the production company behind Bravo hit Below Deck, is stepping down from the Banijay Americas-owned business.
Julie Pizzi, President of fellow Banijay-backed firm Bunim/Murray, will add overseeing 51 Minds to her responsibilities running the Real World producer.
It is the latest change for the group; earlier this year, Cris Abrego, who founded 51 Minds, stepped down as CEO of Banijay Americas with Ben Samek taking over that role and Abrego remaining as Chairman.
There’s been much speculation about Abrego’s own role in recent months. Sarabia has been with 51 Minds for many years, having produced series such as The Surreal Life and Flavor of Love.
