Earlier this week, the 31-year-old rapper revealed that she nearly lost her pregnancy after suffering a medical emergency. On Thursday (August 8), she took to X Spaces to provide more insight and to explain exactly what happened and how she was doing. Keep reading to find out more… During a conversation with followers, Cardi explained that she “slipped” while going down the steps. “I practically fell, but I was trying to prevent myself from falling, so I was holding myself on the railing.
My foot still slipped, and I kind of busted my ass,” she explained, via People. She continued, saying, “I felt a weird jerk, like a pop, and I couldn’t get up really.” Cardi said that she took a nap because she was only feeling “a little pain,” adding that it was “in the lower of my stomach.” “When I woke up, I couldn’t move my bottom at all.
Like, just moving my feet was hurting the bottom of my stomach. I couldn’t move. I felt like paralyzed,” she said. She was taken to the hospital where doctor’s learned that she had torn a ligament in her pelvis. “It’s right where the baby’s head is at,” she said. “I dilated and I was having contractions for every two minutes for a whole 24 hours.” The rapper was unable to move for two days.
