Sabrina said in an interview with The Guardian that she began writing the song in July 2023 while she was on vacation in France.

I’ve always been a bit delusional, in that sense.” Sabrina also talked about growing up in the social media and how it’s affected her writing. “It’s not what I signed up for, but I can’t really help when I was born,” she said. “I want to be honest – I want to just write about what’s happening in my life as a 25-year-old girl.
