‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ Coming to Xbox Game Pass Following Price Hike
variety.comJennifer Maas TV Business Writer “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” will be available on Xbox Game Pass beginning Wednesday, just before the Season 5 launch for the first-person shooter.
The game’s arrival on Game Pass comes on the heels of Xbox increasing the price of its Game Pass subscriptions and limiting availability of content across tiers.
Amid those changes, “Modern Warefare III” will only be available for customers subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (the highest-priced tier at $19.99 per month), PC Game Pass ($11.99), and Xbox Game Pass for Console (now retired for new users), not to those with the “Core” tier ($69.99 annually).
Originally released in November 2023, “Modern Warfare III” is developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision, was only previously available as a standalone purchase and not as part of Xbox’s subscription gaming offering. “Modern Warfare III” is the 20th game in the “Call of Duty” franchise and the third in the “Modern Warfare” reboot sub series.
