Michael Che was humbled by basketball star Caitlin Clark when she crashed Saturday Night Live‘s “Weekend Update” segment after the comedian made a sexist joke at her expense. “The University of Iowa announced that basketball star Caitlin Clark will have her jersey retired and replaced with an apron,” Che said.
Che then introduced Clark ahead of the WNBA draft, where she is expected to be the No. 1 pick overall. “I am a fan, Caitlin, by the way,” Che told the future WNBA star. “Really, Michael?
Because I heard that little apron joke you did,” Clark clapped back. Clark called out Che for making a lot of jokes about women’s sports, which the comedian tried to deny.
Colin Jost chimed in to say, “It’s definitely a lot,” and exposed Che with a super-cut of his past jokes. “Unlike Che, I support women,” Jost said, throwing his co-host under the bus.
