A teenage boy accused of murdering Brianna Ghey said he was 'frightened' of the girl standing trial alongside him. Brianna was found by dog walkers in Linear Park in Culcheth near Warrington at around 3pm on Saturday, February 11.
Her bloodied body was found face down in mud, having been stabbed 28 times in the head, neck, back and chest, jurors have previously heard.
Girl X, from Culcheth, and Boy Y, from Leigh - who cannot be named for legal reasons - both deny murdering Brianna. On the seventh day of the trial at Manchester Crown Court, jurors watched a number of video recorded interviews which police conducted with Boy Y on February 14.
