Boost for Brucehill as playpark becomes first in West Dunbartonshire to be upgraded

Youngsters in Brucehill have a newly refurbished playpark to enjoy, after the Firthview Terrace facility became the first in the area to get an upgrade.Work on the park was completed as part of a programme to enhance play areas across West Dunbartonshire.West Dunbartonshire Council say that they are undertaking work to renew and replace play equipment at a total of eight sites across the area, with the park at Brucehill’s Firthview Terrace the first to be completed.Work is continuing on the other parks throughout West Dunbartonshire, ensuring that children have safe and fun places to play in.Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development, Councillor David McBride, said: “It’s a pleasure to be able to visit this refurbished playpark in Brucehill which will be a great resource for the young people who stay nearby.“I am delighted that the Council is investing in equipment so children can enjoy the playparks in their communities.”Vice-convener, Councillor Lawrence O’Neill, said: “I am pleased that the Council has been able to deliver this project and hope that the young people here take the opportunity to enjoy their refurbished playpark.“I also look forward to seeing the other play areas as they are completed across West Dunbartonshire.”
