The bomb squad have been called to a Scots street following reports of suspected grenades being found within a property.Emergency services descended on Caledonian Crescent in Edinburgh shortly after 12pm today and cordoned off the area.Residents in the area are being evacuated as a precaution after officers from Police Scotland contacted the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team.Edinburgh Live reports emergency vehicles were seen outside of M&D newsagents as officers carried out door-to-door enquiries nearby.Police were also seen going through bins on the street and placing items in evidence bags.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.20pm on Wednesday 7 June, 2023, following reports that suspected grenades were found with a property at Caledonian Crescent in Edinburgh“Explosive Ordnance Disposal team has been contacted.
