BBC's Kirsty Wark couldn't hold back the tears as she signed off from her final Newsnight episode, marking the end of an era after 30 years at the helm.

For her swansong broadcast on Friday 12 July, she was joined by a host of familiar faces including ex-BBC journalist Lewis Goodall, Hollywood star Alan Cumming, Newsnight's own political editor Nicholas Watt, and Martha Kearney, who is also set to depart from the Today programme.
