EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace has wowed fans on social media after showcasing her dramatic new look. The 52 year old soap star has appeared on the popular BBC One show since 2000 and is best known for playing Walford icon Kat Slater, whose storylines have seen the character become a millionaire, have a long-lost son and play a central role in the recent Christmas ‘The Six’ twist.

As a familiar face to many viewers, the actress has recently taken to Instagram to debut a very different “rock chick” look after opting for a change during a recent hair cut.

While TV fans may recognise Jessie thanks to her signature jet black hair, which she often styles in classic bob and side parting, her new look is daringly different.

Sharing a selfie with her 221,000 followers, the actress revealed that she’s switched up her usual side parting for a dramatic fringe - with social media fans “loving” the switch up.The stunning new look features a wispy fringe which sits just below her eyebrows, as well as face framing length at the front to add plenty of shape and volume to the hair.To showcase the new edgy look, Jessie leaned into the “rock” vibes and wore a smokey eye which she paired with a pink nude lip and dewy makeup.
