Antiques Road Trip viewers have been hooked on the BBC show since it started in 2010. The programme sees experts compete to snap up items to sell at auction later while sticking to a strict budget.

Loyal fans will remember one particular episode back in 2012 which featured a damaged £8 Staffordshire elephant statue sold on for thousands of pounds.

Expert Charlie Ross bagged the bargain after he and James Braxton were given a budget of £200 to source some antiques. And the stars were both left stunned when the clock racked up huge attention online at their first auction up in Buckie.

During the episode, as writes the Mirror, a voiceover said at the time: "With one lot each still to go, Charlie is only £7 ahead, next up it's his Staffordshire elephant and the auctioneer thinks it could go for a couple of hundred!" But before long, the bids built up as phone and internet buyers sent the value into the hundreds.
