BBC announces huge live music festival to return to Manchester in 2024

BBC has announced that its hugely popular 6 Music Festival will be taking place in Greater Manchester once again in 2024. The music festival, which has featured the likes of Depeche Mode, Royal Blood, Christine and the Queens, Idles and Belle and Sebastian in the past, will take place across the city-region from March 7 to 10.

The four-day festival will feature a mix of daytime, evening and late-night events from some of the most legendary and emerging venues across Greater Manchester.

Last year’s festival was also held in Manchester and featured gigs at the O2 Victoria Warehouse, Band on the Wall and RAMONA. Whilst the BBC is keeping tight-lipped about the line-up for the 2024 festival right now, the event promises to ‘feature unique performances you won’t see anywhere else, as well as DJ sets from emerging and established acts’.
