Award-winning BBC show returning to screens in just weeks - leaving fans delighted
ok.co.ukThe BBC have confirmed that its popular show The Repair Shop is returning for a new series, with Jay Blades once again hosting alongside the team of skilled craftspeople who work in the converted barn to save people’s well worn or neglected treasures.The new series of The Repair Shop will start on Wednesday 14 August at 8pm on BBC One, The Sun reports.
While Jay has other projects in the works for Channel 5, including Jay Blades: A Country House Through Time and West End Through Time, he continues to host the much loved BBC series and is also expected to appear in a spin off of The Repair Shop later this year.
The spin off, called The Repair Shop On The Road, will have The Repair Shop's team of restorers and repairers travelling around the country, repairing people's treasures.
However, the host will be given a smaller role as the new spin-off is reportedly set to focus less on Jay, and more on the supporting team of restorers from in the barn, as reported by The Sun.
