Rylan Clark's reality series Hot Mess Summer has reportedly been axed by Amazon Prime Video after its first season. The TV personality and This Morning regular helmed the show, which premiered on the streaming service last year, charting the journey of a group of Brits who thought they were in for a summer of revelry in Zante.

However later only to find out they'd be running a bar instead, all for a shot at a £60,000 prize. OK! Magazine reports that Prime Video has opted not to renew Hot Mess Summer for additional seasons.

A source informed The Sun: "Unfortunately, with Rylan's jam-packed schedule and Prime Video's upcoming slate, there aren't plans for another series as it currently stands." On the show, Rylan was tasked with overseeing the contestants and providing them with candid feedback from guests, which often wasn't flattering.Earlier this year, discussing his role, Rylan mentioned: "My job isn't to discipline, my job is to encourage them and make sure they're enjoying it."He also shared insights into his personal approach, saying: "But my biggest vice is being too nice to people.

I get on with everyone, and it's only if you f** me off that we're done, because I've got a sting in my tail," and mused, "Maybe I need to be more of an a***hole." The cancellation of his show isn't a setback for Rylan, who's juggling multiple projects including the Paramount+ reality series Dating Naked.
