Antiques Roadshow fans love a shock valuation on the BBC series, and it seems even celebrities aren't immune to the excitement of discovering hidden treasures in the attic.
Former child actor Sophie Neville joined the programme which is hosted by Fiona Bruce for a recent episode from the Lake District, bringing with her some precious memorabilia from her starring role in the 1974 film adaptation of Swallows and Amazons. The family film, based on the 1930 novel by Arthur Ransome, was set in the Lake District and follows the story of the Walker children who spend a summer there, having adventures on their boat named Swallow. They meet a rival group of children sailing a dinghy called Amazon and eventually become firm friends.
In an episode of the BBC One show that aired on 9 June, Sophie, who played Titty Walker in the film, came along to Lake Windermere to meet the antiques experts for a valuation - 50 years after she featured in Swallows and Amazons.
The 64-year-old showed off a bow and arrow and some pirate flags that she had kept from the filming set, and was left open mouthed when she was told they were now worth thousands each.
