Ally McCoist issues ITV on-air apology as Rangers icon says sorry to high profile Euro 2024 referee

The locals were incensed and so was the commentary hero – working with Clive Tyldesley in his final match for ITV – as he rued the call to rule the goal out.But McCoist – upon further review – wanted to mend fences with Oliver and admitted he had changed his tune.
The sheepish 61-year-old, speaking to a national audience on ITV, said: "The first thing I have got to do is probably apologise to Michael Oliver.
It was a block and it was a free kick and I got carried away.
