Porn star and adult film actress Kagney Linn Karter has tragically died by suicide. Kagney's devastated friends confirmed online that the 36-year-old died at her home in Parma, Ohio, on Thursday.

Her friends paid tribute to the star as they confirmed the circumstances in a GoFundMe post. According to US gossip site TMZ, the funds will go towards her mother, Tina.

It's understood the cash will help with the cost of her memorial and additional funds will be donated to an animal rescue. Paying tribute, her friends wrote: "Unfortunately, despite all of her many impressive accomplishments and talents, Kagney struggled with mental health issues as the years passed by." As reported by the Mirror, Kagney first got into the adult film world in the mid-2000s and won various AVN awards for her work.
