Former footballing star Peter admitted he left his Liverpool-born model wife in tears, after he told her recently she was "ruining his life".
Peter, one half of the loved-up couple - who have been an item for 17 years and share four beautiful children together - explained that they recently became embroiled in a spat over animals.The 42 year old sportsman has made it clear for some time that he isn't interested in welcoming any more pets into the family home - something he's been firm on for years.
But Abbey, 37, has been desperate for a new puppy for some time, claiming she would be more than happy to have another youngster to look after all by herself.
