Former A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin left nearly £1million to his wife in his will.The much-loved TV host, who became a familiar face on UK TV with shows like Channel 4's 'Escape To The Country' and 'A Place in the Sun', was just 50 when he passed away in February after being diagnosed with lung cancer four years prior.His entire estate, valued at £953,000, was bequeathed to his wife of seven years, Jessica Irwin, mum to the couple's three children - twins Rafa and Cormac, and their older brother Rex.
According to reports, Jonnie's last will was signed in October 2022, leaving everything to his spouse.After certain deductions, his assets totalling £956,967 were reduced to £953,425, reports the Mirror.
Jonnie's family announced his passing on his Instagram account, accompanied by a photo of him with his wife. The heartfelt message read: "In Loving Memory.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Jonnie's passing. A truly remarkable soul, he fought bravely against cancer with unwavering strength and courage."Jonnie touched the lives of so many with his kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit.
