Joe Otterson TV Reporter “9-1-1: Lone Star” Season 5 will not return to Fox until Fall 2024, Variety has confirmed. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the fifth season of the spinoff series will consist of 12 episodes.

Fox will use “Lone Star,” it’s highest-rated drama, to launch its new shows “Doc” and “Rescue: Hi-Surf,” both of which were ordered earlier this year but have yet to begin production.

It is the latest production impacted by the writers’ and actors’ strikes that shutdown Hollywood for much of the year. With shows scrambling to get back up and running now that both strikes are settled, a number of series are being pushed to later dates.

Most recently, CBS announced premiere dates for several of their scripted shows for midseason, while others are also being pushed to next fall.
