direct to your inboxA further 48 people have died in Greater Manchester's hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus.The region's hospital death toll has now reached 5,591, the latest NHS figures show.Nineteen more coronavirus deaths were recorded by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - the organisation in charge of the MRI and Wythenshawe Hospital.Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust recorded another 11 deaths.

The trust's figures include those for North Manchester General, the Royal Oldham, Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield General.The Royal Bolton and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust recorded six new deaths each.Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust confirmed three new deaths, Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS.
