A expletive-ridden message on the side of a moored canal boat in Manchester city centre has left passers-by baffled. The handwritten note - which suggests the owner has been the victim of theft - has left people in shock.

It reads: "Leave my things alone you f*****g s*****s. I've worked hard unlike you, to have beautiful things that you think you can steal from me you useless little c***s. "You are dead men walking.

Passers-by on the Ashton Canal in the city centre spotted the note on Friday morning. The canal boat is tied up close to the Ducie Street entrance to the path.
