A woman was left seriously injured after a shuttle bus collided with two pedestrians at a popular beauty spot. The crash happened at Lyme Park in Disley, Cheshire, close to the border with Stockport, on Monday, December 4, last year.
Cheshire Police said the bus collided with a man and a woman 'near to the gate of the main house inside Lyme Park.' The woman, 71, sustained serious injuries including a broken pelvis and broken arm, the force said.
The second pedestrian, a 75-year-old man, sustained only 'minor' injuries they added. The incident was reported to police the following day, Tuesday, December, 5 and an enquiry has been ongoing since. Police Constable Chris Luke said: "While I appreciate that this incident took place almost three months ago, Lyme Park is a popular tourist attraction and there are likely to have been several people in the area who may have witnesses the incident and I would urge them to come forward. “The same goes for anyone who was on the shuttle bus at the time the collision occurred.
