Woman attacked with drill by neighbour left with 'permanent visible scars'

A woman has been left with 'visible scars' for the rest of her life after being viciously attacked in her home by a neighbour with a drill.

Jade Kent came in to her neighbour's house and launched a brutal attack with a Black and Decker electric drill.Kent's victim was pinned to her seat as she begged for help and cried "Please stop, I’m disabled," reports the Manchester Evening News.The 31-year-old was jailed for five years and fourth months at Manchester Crown Court after being originally charged with attempted murder.

Kent has since pleaded guilty to an alternative offence of section 18 wounding with intent and aggravated burglary.The court heard that Kent screamed: 'I'm gonna kill you, you hear me?' after placing the electric drill towards the woman's head and it slipped down towards her neck.

She punched and kicked the helpless victim during the attack.The victim, who is registered disabled and uses a mobility scooter, in an emotional address read to the court spoke of the lasting physical and mental scars from the attack.A statement read: “Now I know that the injuries I sustained from being repeatedly assaulted with a drill have resulted in permanent visible scars on my body.
