Dog attack leaves man and woman with 'potentially life-changing' injuries

A man and woman have been left with 'potentially life-changing injuries' following a dog attack in Wigan. Police were called to the scene of the incident on Thomas Street in the Hindley Green area at around 11.30pm on Monday evening (May 8).

Officers responded to reports 'that a dog was dangerously out of control' in a house. The dog was seized by officers, police said.

Their injuries are serious and 'potentially life-changing', but not life-threatening. Officers are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
