Tolkien’s The Lord Of The Rings trilogy and depicts the rise of Sauron in Middle-earth’s Second Age.The show’s cast is led by Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, alongside Lenny Henry, Sara Zwangobani, Robert Aramayo, Benjamin Walker, Charles Edwards, Daniel Weyman, and Charlie Vickers.New cast additions in season two include Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear, Tanya Moodie, Ben Daniels, Stuart Bowman, Kevin Eldon, and Oliver Alvin-Wilson.Sam Hazeldine replaces Joseph Mawle as Adar in the show’s second season.
Hazeldine has starred in Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel, Peaky Blinders and Netflix’s The Sandman.In a statement on Twitter, Mawle said he wanted to “explore new characters and worlds” beyond The Rings Of Power.
Following the show, he’s had roles in Yellowstone prequel 1923 and historical drama Mary & George.“I loved my time exploring Middle-earth and diving into Tolkien’s mythology,” Mawle wrote. “I’m so honoured that the character was liked.
