The two suspects charged in the brutal slaying of a Georgia high school football star Elijah DeWitt gunned down in a Dave & Buster’s parking lot last week are expected to make their first court appearance Wednesday morning following their extradition back from South Carolina.  The hearing for Kemare Bryan, 18, and Chandler Richardson, 19, both from Lawrenceville, Georgia, was scheduled to begin around 8 a.m. in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court – hours before mourners are expected to gather for the funeral of 18-year-old DeWitt at Jefferson High School at 6 p.m.  Bryan and Richardson are facing charges of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies in connection with the murder of DeWitt – a standout wide receiver nicknamed "Eazy E" by NFL legend Cam Newton himself.  In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital on Tuesday, DeWitt’s longtime girlfriend, Bailey Reidling detailed the aftermath of the harrowing shooting that unfolded during the couple’s date night with friends on Oct.

A woman accused of being a member of the so-called "green goblin gang" that attacked two teenagers on a Manhattan subway train turned herself on Monday and was released Tuesday without bail.  The NYPD said Mariam Issouf, 26, was arrested Monday in connection with the Oct. 2 assault on the northbound N platform at the 42 Street-Times Square subway station.  New York City police released images of four woman who were allegedly part of a group of suspects wearing neon-green bodysuits while attacking two women on a subway train.  (Fox New York ) Two 19-year-old female victims told NYPD officers they were engaged in a verbal dispute with a group of unidentified individuals.

Former Alabama escapee Casey White pleaded not guilty Tuesday at his arraignment on escape and felony murder charges after his alleged accomplice in the jailbreak shot herself in the head rather than face arrest. Vicky White, a former Lauderdale County, Alabama, corrections official, walked Casey White out of jail on April 29, and the duo led investigators on an 11-day manhunt spanning multiple states and involving disguises and multiple cars. The two were not related but were allegedly involved in a jailhouse romance.  Deputies in Indiana recaptured Casey White after a car chase as the alleged lovers tried to evade capture.

Anne Heche's son, Homer Laffoon, won another legal hurdle Tuesday in his ongoing court battle over the late actress' estate as her ex, James Tupper, was denied his petition to be named guardian ad litem over their son, Atlas, 13. "We are pleased—but not surprised—with the court’s ruling this morning denying James’ petition to appoint himself guardian ad litem for Atlas," Laffoon's lawyer, Bryan Phipps, said in a statement released to Fox News Digital.  "We look forward to the court resolving Homer’s petition at the next hearing and, in the meantime, Homer will continue to diligently administer the Estate pursuant to his authority as Special Administrator." James Tupper was denied a petition to be made guardian ad litem in the Anne Heche estate, as her son, Homer Laffoon continues to battle for control of the estate.

The Supreme Court has denied an appeal made by mass murderer Dylan Roof, who was convicted of killing nine people in a shooting at a Black church in 2015. Roof had asked the court to decide how to handle disputes over mental illness-related evidence between capital defendants and their attorneys.

The suspect accused of fatally stabbing two people on the Las Vegas strip and injuring six others appears to have been caught on camera by a news outlet in Los Angeles two days before the attack.  "He was asking for help," ​Telemundo 52 cameraman Jorge López said, according to a news article from the outlet. "He kept telling me: 'I just want a chance, I just want to start from scratch.'" López was on assignment in downtown Los Angeles outside city hall last Tuesday when he was approached by a man who identified himself as Yoni Barrios.

Delaware’s Supreme Court on Friday ruled that recently passed laws allowing universal vote by mail and same-day registration are unconstitutional, marking a win for state Republicans who had rallied against the legislation. The court found that the two moves conflict with the registration and absentee voter categories outlined in the First State’s constitution. It upheld a prior ruling by the state’s vice chancellor, which rejected the vote-by-mail law, while overturning his upholding of the Election Day registration law.

The suspect accused of killing his roommate at Purdue University claimed he had been "blackmailed" on Friday during his first court appearance.  In a video, speaking to reporters, 22-year-old Ji Min "Jimmy" Sha said he was "very sorry" when asked if he had a message for the family of the victim, 20-year-old Varun Manish Chheda.  Sha is facing a preliminary charge of murder.  According to court documents, he was granted a 72-hour continuance in his case inside the Tippecanoe County Jail’s magistrate court.  Fox 59 said that while court documents filed against Sha Friday give more insight into the death of Chheda, they provide little insight into his motive. Ji Min Sha, 22, was identified as the suspect by Purdue Police Chief Lesley Wiete during a press conference.

A police K9 and a possible murder suspect are dead after a chase in Georgia ended with a shootout in the woods on Friday. The deadly confrontation began just before noon along River Road near Interstate 285 when Clayton County police spotted a car associated with a murder investigation, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. Georgia State Patrol and the Clayton County Sheriff's Office were called to assist with an attempted stop.

The suspect accused of killing two people and injuring six others during a stabbing rampage on the Las Vegas Strip is in the United States illegally, sources told Fox News.  Yoni Barrios, 32, is a Guatemalan national in the U.S. illegally with a criminal record in California, a source with U.S.

A Maryland Court of Appeals upheld a decision from a lower court that allowed county election workers to count mail-in ballots before election day. The court of appeals issued the ruling on Friday, which allows local boards of canvassers in state counties to "meet and open envelopes, canvass, and tabulate mail-in ballots" on Oct.

California authorities have arrested two brothers in connection with the kidnappings and murders of four family members in Merced. The Merced County Sheriff's Office on Friday announced the arrest of Alberto Salgado, the brother of suspect Jesus Manuel Salgado, who was taken into police custody earlier this week in critical condition after trying to take his own life. Jesus Manuel Salgado is suspected of kidnapping and murdering 8-month-old Aroohi Dheri; her mother, Jasleen Kaur; her father, Jasdeep Singh; and her uncle, Amandeep Singh.

The man accused of killing two people and wounding six others in an "unprovoked" attack on the Las Vegas Strip went into a fit of rage after a group of showgirls refused to take a picture with him, according to officials and a local report.  Yoni Barrios, 32, approached the group of women on the famous Las Vegas Strip on Thursday and said he was a chef, local news station KTNV reported. Holding what police described as a "large knife with a long blade," he asked the women if they would pose for a photograph with him – then began attacking when they rebuffed him, the outlet reported.  Barrios stabbed eight people – a mix of tourists and residents – just after 11:40 a.m.

Brad Pitt will respond to abuse allegations made by his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, in court. In a complaint filed Tuesday in Los Angeles court, Jolie detailed allegations of Pitt's abuse of her and their children. During a September 2016 flight from France to Los Angeles, "Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face" and "grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her," according to the latest filing in the exes' vicious legal battle over a French winery they bought in 2008.

A homeless suspect was arrested for the deadly New York City subway slashing of a commuter.  Tommy Bailey, a 43-year-old steamfitter with the Local 638 union for over two decades, was fatally sliced in the neck while commuting home aboard the Canarsie-bound L train at around 8:50 p.m. on Friday, stumbling out onto the platform after the subway rolled into Brooklyn’s Atlantic Station.  The NYPD said the victim had been involved in a dispute with an unidentified man on the train, and Bailey was rushed by medics to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  Homeless murder suspect Alvin Charles smirks as he's escorted by detectives from the 73rd Precinct.  (WNYW) Several days would pass before an arrest was made on Wednesday.  Alvin Charles, a 43-year-old homeless man, was escorted out of the 73rd Precinct Wednesday evening after being charged with the murder of Bailey, a father-of-two whose friends told the N.Y.

The ex-con accused of fatally gunning down the father of a Marist College student inside a Courtyard Marriott in upstate New York – showed a murderous streak in the past.  Roy Johnson, 35, was arrested Sunday for the slaying of acountant and father of three Paul Kutz in Poughkeepsie in the lobby of the hotel where both men were staying, according to police. Back in December 2005 during a violent robbery, Johnson, then 19, and an accomplice kicked in acquittance Amin Hinson's front door in broad daylight, then aimed a silver revolver at Michael Jones' head, court records show. "Shut the f---- up or I will kill you!" Johnson threatened.

A federal appeals court ordered a review of new changes by the Biden administration to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The decision was made by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday, which said that a Texas federal judge needs to review the program after several changes were made by the Biden administration in August.

The suspect accused of killing 20-year-old Purdue University student Varun Manish Chheda said "I love my family" before entering jail on Wednesday after being charged with murder. Ji Min Sha, 22, was identified as the suspect and made a 911 call at 12:44 a.m.

The sudden decision to cut out more than 700,000 borrowers from President Biden's $400 billion student loan handout could make it harder for opponents of that policy to challenge it in court, and some say the change appears to have been made precisely for that reason. Soon after Biden's policy was announced, officials said loan forgiveness would only apply to borrowers who consolidated their debts under the Department of Education.That last-minute change made more than 700,000 borrowers ineligible for the handout because their loans are still managed by private companies.

"When I was brought in there and they told me they had to test me for COVID, I was immediately, like, what do you mean you have to test me for this? … Immediately, in my head, I started to get afraid that they even had to test for COVID," Brooks said during his hearing livestreamed by FOX 6 Milwaukee of receiving a COVID-19 test in prison.

North Carolina officials have arrested the 17-year-old suspect accused of murdering teenagers Devin Clark and Lyric Woods on Sept. 17. Clark, 18, and Woods, 14, were found shot to death off Buckhorn Road in a rural area of Mebane that afternoon.Their families had reported them missing after they last saw the pair, who were friends, on the night of Sept.

Anne Heche's son, Homer Laffoon, filed an opposition to James Tupper's petition for appointment of guardian ad litem Tuesday in new court documents submitted to a Los Angeles County court and obtained by Fox News Digital. Tupper, who dated Heche for 11 years and has 13-year-old son Atlas with the late actress, initially filed paperwork Monday seeking to establish himself as the guardian ad litem of his son, who is legally a minor.Tupper's documents then go on to request "a bonded, neutral, private, professional fiduciary be selected to administer the subject estate." Laffoon claims Tupper is "precluded from serving as the minor's guardian ad litem based on several actual and potential conflicts of interest." The documents state Tupper professed affection for both of the children, which could be an issue if he is "ever forced to side with one child against the other." A source told Fox News Digital that Atlas's interests are already "adequately represented in the proceedings" as they are also Homer's interests.
