A homeless suspect was arrested for the deadly New York City subway slashing of a commuter. Tommy Bailey, a 43-year-old steamfitter with the Local 638 union for over two decades, was fatally sliced in the neck while commuting home aboard the Canarsie-bound L train at around 8:50 p.m.

on Friday, stumbling out onto the platform after the subway rolled into Brooklyn’s Atlantic Station. The NYPD said the victim had been involved in a dispute with an unidentified man on the train, and Bailey was rushed by medics to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
