Ellise Shafer Leighton is leaving Essex College. “The Sex Lives of College Girls” star Reneé Rapp will not be returning as a series regular to the Max comedy, Variety has confirmed. Rapp, who plays wealthy legacy student Leighton, will appear in a few episodes of Season 3 as a recurring character but will then depart the show. Renewed for Season 3 in December, “The Sex Lives of College Girls” follows four roommates at the fictional Essex College as they juggle school, sexuality and friendships. Season 2 left off with Leighton finally hitting her stride after coming out as a lesbian to her father and quitting her sorority.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Ryan Gosling is singing his heart out as Ken in “Barbie.” Warner Bros. has debuted an official music video from the upcoming Greta Gerwig-directed tentpole in which Gosling belts out “I’m Just Ken.” The song finds Gosling’s lovelorn doll wrestling with always being second to Barbie (Margot Robbie) and contemplating what his life means without her. The accompanying clip includes Gosling’s Ken shirtless, crying and incredibly emotional. “I’m Just Ken” is the latest original song released from the official “Barbie” soundtrack, which also includes artists such as Grammy winners Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish. Soundtrack producer Mark Ronson told Variety on the “Barbie” world premiere red carpet that Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash even played on Gosling’s record after being sent the track and finding it cool.

Producers of A Transparent Musical, the stage adaptation of the Amazon Studios series that recently completed its world premiere run at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, plan to bring the show to Broadway in 2024.

The festival is scheduled to take place Oct. 6-8 in Coachella’s home base of the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif. “As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October,” Osbourne, who has suffered from a number of health ailments in recent years, wrote on Monday. “My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward. Max has set Thursday, August 10 for the Season 2 premiere of Issa Rae’s comedy series Rap Sh!t. The eight-episode second season will debut with two episodes on August 10, followed by one episode weekly, leading up to the season finale on Thursday, September 21.

The show, the first stage play from Amazon Studios, premiered in Los Angeles at the Mark Taper Forum in May — becoming the last show at the Taper for now, as Center Theater Group has canceled all shows at the stage following the close of “A Transparent Musical” on June 25. But whereas the Mark Taper is on hold, “A Transparent Musical” has big things in store. According to Amazon, the show’s producers “intend to bring the show to Broadway sometime in 2024.” The musical, or course, is based on Amazon Prime Video’s Emmy-winning series “Transparent,” created by Joey Soloway, who also wrote the book to the stage musical with MJ Kaufman. Faith Soloway wrote the music and lyrics to “A Transparent Musical.”

Brent Lang Executive Editor Neon has acquired “Ferrari,” the next film from Michael Mann. It will release the drama in theaters nationwide on Christmas Day. The film, Mann’s first since 2015’s “Blackhat,” will star Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari and Penélope Cruz as his wife, Laura Ferrari. The ensemble includes Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Connell, Sarah Gadon, Patrick Dempsey and Gabriel Leone. According to an official description, the film is set during the summer of 1957 and follows Enzo Ferrari as he deals with the possible bankruptcy of his company, as well as his stormy marriage and the death of his son. Against that backdrop, Ferrari wagers everything on one race, the 1,000-mile trek across Italy, the Mille Miglia.

She admits, “My next thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.” The Celebration Tour, which was originally scheduled to kick off this month, was unfortunately postponed due to Madonna’s hospitalization. The chart-topping artist reassured her fans in the post that the plan now is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour, with a new start date set for October in Europe.
